BEFORE requesting a microblaDing PROCEDURE, THOROUGHLY REVIEW AFTER CARE RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAKE TIME IN YOUR SCHEDULE TO TREAT YOUR NEW permanent makeup.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR PROCEDURE*
For THE FIRSt 7 days INCLUDE the following routine:
A&D OINTMENT PACKETS ARE PROVIDED IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING YOUR PERMANENT MAKEUP PROCEDURE.
FOR THE FIRST DAY GENTLY CLEAN THE AREA ONE TIME BEFORE BED USING A WARM DAMP COTTON WOOL PAD. Then apply A&D OINTMENT (VERY THIN LAYER so the skin can breathe). Wash hands before and after application and use a clean cotton ball to avoid infection. When crust appears on the pigmented surface DO NOT FORCE THE REMOVAL BY PICKING, SCRATCHING OR WASHING. PIGMENT MAY BE REMOVED ALONG WITH THE CRUST.
Do not touch, apply makeup or get your eyebrows wet for at least 7 days. (If the area does get wet, pat dry very gently with a tissue.)
Avoid contact with hair and fabric to allow eyebrows to scab and heal naturally.

Permanent Cosmetics Aftercare
For 2 to 7 days after treatment, the procedure area may experience the following symptoms:
- Dryness and itching THIS IS NORMAL!
- Color of eyebrows gets much darker because of scabs, THIS IS NORMAL. (Usually day 4)
- When scabs fall off the color of the pigment will look very light, but will resurface in couple weeks time. THIS IS NORMAL, please do not be alarmed.
IMPORTANT "DO NOTS" TO Avoid for 1 week:
- Soaps, facial cleansers, water on pigmented areas
- Washing pigmented area
- Chlorine pools
- Retin-A on pigmented areas
- Makeup on pigmented area for 7 days, including non- allergenic
- Hot, steamy, long showers
- Sun on pigmented areas
- Jacuzzi or saunas
- Terry towels on pigmented areas
- Shower with your back to the water to avoid water, shampoo and conditioner from getting into the pigmented areas.
Make sure you wash your hair with your head tilted back to stop water from running down you face.
Do not try to hide you eyebrows with your bangs or fringe in the first 2 days, this is the easiest way to cause infection - keep your fringe away from your eyebrows.
Do not be alarmed by fading after the first application. The final color cannot be judged until at least 3 weeks after the control procedure is completed. This is the reason control procedures are required.
Your skin needs to repair itself. The excess pigment particles that are on the surface dry up and form a crust along with skin cells (depending on the skin type some clients hardly notice the crust while others have a definite scab).
This will come away gradually over the next week to 10 days, sometimes a little longer. Very often it looks like hardly any pigment has held, THIS IS NORMAL.
It's almost like the skin has formed a milky opaque layer over the pigment as a protection to the newly regenerated skin cells. The color WILL resurface over the following 4 weeks and so it's far too early to worry or judge the results only a week after the treatment. Although you may be alarmed, please maintain realistic expectations of a permanent makeup treatment.
Natural mineral based pigment is inserted very shallow into the skin so it heals like a skin TINT. It can NEVER be as dark or as vibrant or give the same coverage as conventional makeup regardless of the pigment choice. Makeup gives a camouflage effect to the skin, pigment blends with the natural skin tone.
GENERAL POST PROCEDURE INFORMATION
In order to keep your permanent cosmetic results in perfect condition it may be necessary to have a maintenance procedure about every 12 to 18 months, though this will vary for each individual. Please visit the SERVICES tab for details*
To avoid pigment fade for as long as possible, avoid excessive exposure to the sun or UV rays and use a good sunscreen or moisturizer with an SPF15.
If you are planning an MRI scan, chemical peel or any other similar procedures, please inform your practitioner that you have had permanent cosmetics.
You should not be eligible to give blood for 6 months after your procedure, please inform the National Blood Service of your procedure and date if you want to give blood.
If you are planning injections such as Botox and Collagen remember it can alter the shape of your lips and eyebrows.
Laser hair removal can fade and change the shade of your brow procedures, always advise the laser technician you are wearing permanent cosmetics.
WHAT YOU WILL FEEL DURING THE HEALING PROCESS?
" The next days I felt like I had tired eyes, like a hangover. My eyes were slightly puffy; though this subsided by lunchtime and by that evening they were back to normal." - ROSIE, 49
"After a few days the pigment started to come off in strips, like flaking but it did not hurt. I was completely back to normal after a week.” TRACEY, 38
Swelling differs with each individual. To eliminate the swelling you can place ice on the treated areas every hour for about 10 minutes. Make sure you are rolling the ice - do not leave in one area. An additional pillow is advisable when sleeping that evening.
“I felt silly for the rest of the day with darker eyebrows as mine were very light before the procedure. The next day I had got used to them and they had faded a lot. I felt mild pain during the procedure but virtually none afterwards. The color disappeared completely after a few days and it took two weeks to start to come back.” - HOPE, 23
Your procedure may need a retouch to ensure perfect pigmentation. It is your responsibility to book this appointment.
